Apr 05, 2013 The Hollywood Casino and Hotel in Bay St. Louis turned out to be the saving grace of our road trip! We had booked 3 nights at a national chain branded property in Biloxi. That location was even a tier above their standard hotels, However, that place turned out to be a WRECK, so we started searching for alternatives. Settle down on the Back Bay at Boomtown Casino’s brand-new RV Park, the only RV park in Biloxi that’s attached to casino action. Sitting on four acres of land, this park offers full, 30/50-amp hookups at each site, level concrete pads, cable TV and Wifi, 24-hour security and scenic waterfront views.

The park is mostly back-ins with around 6 sites that convert to pull-thrus when they're not full. We made reservations online and requested a pull-thru. Check-in is done by picking up the phone in the laundry room. It rings directly at the hotel's front desk. They answered the phone right away and we were given a pull-thru. The RV Park office appears permanently closed so calling from the laundry room is the usual way to check in here. Bring something to write with before you call - they give you the codes for wifi, showers and ice machine over the phone, as well as instructions about checking out and getting your $50 deposit back that they automatically charge to your credit card. They also add $10 per night for hotel tax/resort fee. It seems that they charge you the same fees/tax they charge for hotel rooms. They do give you a Good Sam discount, tho. There's no dog park, no playground and the pool is in the hotel.
It's a nice park with long, wide and very level cement pads. Interior roads are cement. Grass is between sites. Each site has a picnic table, grill and a trash can. Trash is picked up daily. Shuttle is available to take you to casino but it's not a far walk and the area is well-lit at night. Wifi was very weak/non-existent. Cable was ok. Finally, the water in the park is brown. We called maintenance about it and were told it's city water and ok to drink and it's the same water the hotel has. But I drank bottled water instead. We ate dinner at the casino buffet (all you can eat crab legs) and that was ok except for the smoke that permeated the dining room from the casino. Hotel ventilation system is awful.

Great campground - Professional personal both at registration and maintenance (need work on power tower, quickly responded and completed work) - Quite atmosphere
Food at buffet very good with lots of choices
Driving directions ok - Must watch driving past the local school and not get heavy accelerator due to speed bumps and access road is somewhat hidden by neighborhood trees
